Report of Stalled Vehicle Results in Drug Arrest of Dry Prong Man

The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report in the Prospect community of a vehicle that was blocking a driveway and the driver appeared to be unconscious. When Corporal Jimmi McCully and his K-9 partner, Buffy, arrived, the driver was asked to step out of the vehicle. When he did, he nearly fell down. Cpl. McCully asked the driver where he lived, he replied, “I don’t know, I guess down the road.” Buffy alerted to the vehicle and methamphetamine was discovered. The driver threw a glass smoking pipe under his truck in an effort to hide it.

Clayton Vallery, 59 years old, of 2208 Gray’s Creek Road, Dry Prong, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction of Justice, and Littering.
