Patrol Encounter Leads to Drug Arrest of Pineville Woman and Alexandria Man

November 16, 2018

Corporal Zac Daenen of the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office was patrolling and located what appeared to be a stranded motorist.  When Corporal Daenen began speaking to the driver, she gave him a name and told him two different birthdays.  Deputy Robert Jordan and his K-9 partner, Spec, arrived and Spec alerted to the vehicle for narcotics.  The deputies discovered used syringes and the driver admitted that she was an active heroin user.  She also admitted that she had lied about her identity and her name was actually Megan Weeks.  The person that had been called to help her with the vehicle problems was discovered wanted for an outstanding warrant.  When Weeks arrived at the jail, Deputy Shandra Mills discovered that Weeks had two more syringes hidden in her underclothing.

Megan Weeks, 31 years, of 215 Ida Lane, Lake Charles, was arrested for Resisting an Officer by Providing False Information, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution, and outstanding warrants from Rapides Parish and Pineville.

William O’Neal, 32 years old, of 1839 Yale Street, Alexandria, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
