Grant Parish Sheriff’s Corporal Zac Daenen stopped a vehicle for no tail lights and, as the truck was slowing down, the passenger door opened and someone ran from the truck. As Cpl. Daenen ran behind the person, the suspect threw a black case along with a jacket. Inside of the case was crystal methamphetamine, syringes, glass smoking pipes, and synthetic marijuana. In the jacket was over $2,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine and digital scales.
Caleb Baxley, 34 years old, of 6286 Hwy. 8, Bentley, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine) with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction of Justice (2 counts), Resisting an Officer, Attempted Simple Escape, and Possession of Synthetic Marijuana.
