Grant Parish Sheriff’s Corporal Jimmi McCully responded to a convenience store in reference to a theft. When he arrived, he saw the suspect in a vehicle. When Cpl. McCully asked him about the theft, he leaned in the truck and put something in the pocket of another passenger in the vehicle. The person pulled out a bag of marijuana and told Cpl. McCully, “My dad just put this in my pocket”! Cpl. McCully also discovered a glass smoking pipe and cocaine.
Elton Wilkins, 51 years old, of 278 Alford Road, Colfax, was arrested for: Possession of C.D.S. II (cocaine), Possession of C.D.S. I (marijuana), Theft, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
