Joint Investigation Leads to Drug Arrest of Montgomery Man and Woman


An investigation by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office into drug activity in the Montgomery area led to the arrest of two people after drugs and two small children were located in a house.

Troy James, 44 years old, of 188 Fred Rogers Road, Montgomery, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crack cocaine) with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of C.D.S. I (marijuana), Illegal Use of Drugs in the Presence of Minors, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Probation violation.

Carolyn Burks, 41 years old, of 114 South Street, Montgomery, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crack cocaine) with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of C.D.S. I (marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Use of Drugs in the Presence of Minors.
