The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a woman that had possibly overdosed in the Springhill community. When Corporal Zac Daenen arrived, he discovered a woman that was unconscious on the floor. He was able to get her to wake up and she admitted that she had been snorting heroin. Cpl. Daenen found a plastic bag with more heroin, there was also a small child in the house with her.
Phoenix Humphries, 19 years old, of 363 Windermere Blvd., Alexandria, was arrested for Possession of Heroin and Illegal Use of Drugs in the Presence of someone under the age of 17.
