Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness

The Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness is responsible for emergency management in Grant Parish.  These incidents often require the activation and working participation between local, state, and federal partners.  The primary responsibilities of this division is response, recovery, and mitigation activities.  An overall, comprehensive, all-hazard emergency operations plan has been developed by Grant Parish and is continually reviewed and updated.

The parish works in conjunction with each individual industrial facility, the Grant Parish School Board, medical clinics, day cares, and nursing homes to assure that site specific plans are coordinated with the parish overall plan.
