While patrolling, Grant Parish Deputy Kerri Null and Corporal T.C. Vice located someone walking on Hwy. 71 in the Bagdad community. When they stopped to check to see if he was okay or needed a ride, he ran into the woods, dropping a black case. Report of Reckless Driver Leads to Drug Arrest of Pineville Man
Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a reckless driver that was swerving from lane to lane and eventually stopped in the road. When deputies arrived, they found that the driver was slumped over the steering wheel with a burned homemade cigarette in his lap. Deputies also discovered a bag of synthetic marijuana in the driver’s door. The driver admitted to smoking the synthetic marijuana while he was driving. Undercover Investigation Leads to Arrest of Colfax Man
An undercover investigation by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a Colfax man for selling methamphetamine. Elton Ellis, 49 years old, of 345 Eleanor Street, Colfax, was arrested for Distribution of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine).


Narcotics Investigation Results in Arrest of Pollock Man
An investigation by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics division resulted in the arrest of a Pollock man for drug charges. Mark Fletcher, 57 years old, of 9022 Hwy. 165, Pollock, was arrested for Possession of C.D.S. II (crystal methamphetamine), 2nd offense Possession of C.D.S. I (marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Probation Violation.
